About the role
The GA Field Manager leads the field force to ensure efficient sales operations, expense control, and successful promotional activities across retail locations. This role acts as the primary liaison between the client, customers, and internal teams to drive market share and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Control and monitor expenses such as fuel, vehicle, training, travel, overtime, and stationery.
- Inform the field force of new innovations and monitor speed‑to‑market, stock levels, and competitor activities.
- Negotiate listings with store managers and distribute trade presentations to field teams and customers.
- Compile regular reports for stakeholders, including trade visit and contact reports, and conduct review meetings.
- Facilitate promotional grids, ensure POS material delivery, and track promotional implementation.
- Implement generic and store‑specific planograms, monitor forward share, and maintain shelf health.
- Communicate sales targets, identify cross‑merchandising opportunities, and ensure stock availability to meet sales goals.
- Drive ad‑hoc promotions, develop alternative sales strategies, and minimize credit notes.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing field teams in a retail or distribution environment.
- Strong analytical ability to monitor expenses, sales data, and market trends.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to influence clients, store managers, and internal staff.
- Ability to compile and present detailed reports to regional managers and other stakeholders.
Required skills
- Familiarity with IVR platforms.
- Experience using Grapevine communication tools.
- Knowledge of Field Comms systems.
