Finance & Treasury Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Finance & Treasury Manager to lead financial operations, treasury activities and statutory compliance across the business. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, efficient settlement processes and robust liquidity management to support uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage settlement float balances and liquidity positions to guarantee timely merchant settlements and continuous funding.
• Oversee daily settlement operations, ensuring merchant payments meet agreed service timelines.
• Monitor float balances across wallets and bank accounts, escalating liquidity risks promptly.
• Direct treasury functions including fund transfers, banking relationships and foreign‑exchange compliance.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, SDL, VAT, CIT) within required deadlines.
• Produce monthly management accounts, P&L statements and board financial reports on schedule.
• Maintain financial controls, approval workflows and segregation of duties in line with governance standards.
• Supervise supplier payments, vendor account management and payment authorisation processes.
• Lead reconciliation activities and review reports before management submission.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for commercial decision‑making.
• Coordinate audit preparation and respond to statutory audit inquiries.

Required profile

• CPA(T) qualification registered with NBAA (mandatory).
• BSc in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or a related quantitative field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Finance or Accounting (advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and treasury, including payroll and statutory compliance.
• Experience with TRA compliance, tax audits and statutory reporting.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proven leadership, organisational and communication skills.

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Aruti or Sun System.
