Field Enumerators & Supervisors for East Africa Data Collection

About the role

Research Analytics International is hiring field enumerators and supervisors to conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection across Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The role involves traveling to intervention sites, administering surveys, and ensuring high‑quality data for research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in mandatory pre‑deployment training and instrument pre‑testing.
• Travel to target communities and administer surveys or conduct interviews following project protocols.
• Verify that completed questionnaires are accurate, complete and uploaded daily.
• Coordinate with team leaders, obtain informed consent and maintain confidentiality of respondents.
• Engage with participants in local languages, respecting cultural norms.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Health or related field.
• Previous experience as a quantitative or qualitative field enumerator or data collector.
• Fluency in the local language(s) required for the specific country (e.g., Afaan Oromo, Amharic, Luganda, Kiswahili, etc.).
• Strong communication, active listening and problem‑solving abilities in field settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mobile data‑collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO or CSPro.
