Program Support Officer

About the role

The Programme Support Officer will work in the UNICEF Tanzania Country Office, providing high‑level programme and administrative support. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Programme, the role focuses on donor reporting, grants management, resource mobilisation, data analysis and digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Deputy Representative’s calendar, coordinate meetings and prepare minutes with follow‑up actions.
• Prepare briefing packages, donor reports, project proposals and concept notes, ensuring alignment with UNICEF branding.
• Maintain the internal funding pipeline, produce dashboards and KPI reports, and apply AI tools to synthesize data for statutory reporting.
• Support grants management, monitor grant expiry, and generate fund‑utilisation reports.
• Utilise digital platforms such as SAP, Service Gateway, Power BI and SharePoint for data analysis, automation and document management.
• Maintain SharePoint repositories and ensure effective programme documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in programme support, project management, resource mobilisation, grant management or donor reporting, preferably within the UN system or NGOs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Development Studies, International Relations, Data Science or a related field.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Swahili or another UN official language is an asset.
