Africa Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships Manager

About the role

The Africa Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships Manager will lead fundraising, donor cultivation and partnership activities for the flagship Africa Ageing Conference, a biennial platform that brings together older people, governments, NGOs, academia and the private sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the resource mobilisation and partnership plan for the Africa Ageing Conference, aligned with HelpAge’s fundraising priorities.
• Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of funding, sponsorship and in‑kind opportunities, tracking status and strategic fit.
• Lead day‑to‑day donor cultivation, partnership engagement and opportunity development.
• Contribute to broader resource mobilisation and partnership priorities emerging from the Africa Plan and Coordination Mechanism.
• Work within HelpAge’s fundraising, due‑diligence and approval processes, ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate with the Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships Team on proposal development, negotiation and contracting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource mobilisation, fundraising or partnership development, preferably in the development sector.
• Strong understanding of donor cultivation and pipeline management.
• Ability to work across multiple African countries and coordinate with regional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
