Staff Controller – Ports and Terminals

About the role

The Staff Controller supports operational employees at DP World ports and terminals by maintaining duty rosters, updating leave records, and ensuring HR transactions comply with company policies. The role acts as a liaison between staff and HR to address queries and uphold safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review the daily operation staff schedule from timekeeping.
• Enter and update time records, attendance, and working hours in the Time & Attendance System.
• Prepare monthly reports on work hours, overtime, and sick/absence data.
• Verify medical receipts and compile monthly medical bill records for HR.
• Maintain personnel files with summary sheets for easy reference.
• Respond promptly to employee queries and coordinate with the operation planning team for daily manpower allocation.
• Assign newly joined employees to daily rosters according to operational needs.
• Monitor leave requests, investigate emergency or sick leave cases, and ensure compliance with labour laws.
• Track labour costs, work within budget, and support third‑party manpower allocation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR administration or staff control.
• Knowledge of terminal activities, heavy equipment, and safety procedures.
• Strong verbal communication with blue‑collar staff and leadership ability to guide large teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Time & Attendance System.
• Advanced Excel skills for data entry and reporting.
