About the role

The Talent Acquisition Lead is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end recruitment services for all mine‑site positions, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labour regulations and local community employment commitments. The role works closely with departmental leaders to attract, assess and onboard high‑quality talent while supporting localisation and skills development goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for skilled trades, technical, supervisory and professional mine‑site roles.
  • Source candidates proactively via job boards, LinkedIn, mining networks, universities, community databases and internal referrals.
  • Align talent sourcing with Tanzania Minerals Commission localisation and community recruitment requirements.
  • Conduct screening calls, design competency‑based interview guides, coordinate panel interviews and facilitate technical tests, psychometric assessments and practical evaluations.
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with the Tanzania Labour Act, Minerals Commission localisation plans and company HR policies.
  • Collaborate with Site HR, Community Relations, Training & Development and department heads to meet talent needs.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, including medical fitness, inductions, accommodation, PPE issuance and site access.
  • Maintain recruitment dashboards, vacancy trackers and regular reporting on metrics such as time‑to‑fill, cost‑per‑hire and localisation progress.

Required profile

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of talent acquisition experience within the mining industry.
  • Proven experience recruiting for remote site operations or high‑volume technical environments.
  • Familiarity with Tanzanian labour legislation and Minerals Commission localisation requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage community leaders and departmental heads.
