Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Dar es Salaam. This full‑time, on‑site position involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and analysing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax legislation.
• Prepare tax returns and assist with audits.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA (preferred).
• Prior accounting or finance experience in Tanzania or similar markets (advantageous).

Required skills

• Financial reporting and budgeting.
• Accounting principles and general ledger management.
• Financial analysis and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and tax legislation.
