Regional Finance Manager

About the role

The Regional Finance Manager supports the Finance Director for the Africa Area Office and acts as the primary finance partner for National Directors and Finance Managers across the region. The role ensures that branch and national office operations are financially sound, donor‑compliant, and audit‑ready while building capacity and embedding best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and bi‑annual forecasting for all African branches and national offices.
• Oversee external audit preparation, coordinate audit processes, and manage audit findings.
• Monitor compliance with HFHI policies, GAAP/IFRS standards, local laws, and donor requirements.
• Review and approve international fund transfer requests, ensuring accuracy and policy adherence.
• Track regional cash‑flow positions, identify liquidity risks, and report material variances.
• Produce and distribute monthly management reports and financial/statistical indicators.
• Provide financial advisory to National Directors on budget performance and cash‑flow management.
• Drive capacity‑building initiatives and share knowledge across the multi‑country portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management, reporting, and fund‑transfer oversight in a multi‑country or donor‑funded environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audits, internal controls, and risk‑compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cash‑flow and budget monitoring.
