Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will lead budgeting, forecasting and analytical activities for d.light’s operations in Tanzania and Uganda. Working closely with sales, operations and marketing teams, you will turn financial data into strategic insights that drive growth, cost optimisation and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis, strategic decision‑making and business planning.
• Perform variance analysis, compare actual results to forecasts and provide actionable recommendations.
• Track key performance indicators, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to assess financial implications of pricing, market trends and operational initiatives.
• Monitor cost structures, identify savings opportunities and work with procurement to improve efficiency.
• Leverage VENA, ERP and other financial systems to streamline processes and support automation.
• Identify and manage financial risks related to market conditions, currency fluctuations and operational challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning, analysis or related finance functions.
