Sales Officer – Mobile Phone Retail

About the role

PalmPay is looking for a motivated Sales Officer to join its partner’s mobile phone retail team. You will be the front‑line representative, helping customers choose devices, accessories and service plans while driving store sales.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk‑in customers in a professional, friendly manner.
• Promote and sell mobile phones, accessories, SIM cards and service plans.
• Provide accurate product information to help customers make informed decisions.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs.
• Demonstrate features of new and existing phone models.
• Process billing, invoicing and sales transactions through the POS system.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organized merchandise displays, and stock levels.
• Stay updated on the latest mobile technologies, offers and promotions.
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally, escalating when necessary.
• Perform stock checks, assist in inventory control and participate in stock audits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• Prior experience in mobile phone sales or retail sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
• Basic knowledge of smartphones, mobile accessories and telecom services.
• Good problem‑solving skills and a persuasive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
