Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The client, a well‑established plastic manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and enhance quality systems across its production operations in Dar es Salaam.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality assurance and control systems for manufacturing.
• Monitor raw materials, production processes, and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Lead inspections, testing, audits, and laboratory activities.
• Investigate defects, customer complaints, and non‑conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Procurement and other departments to improve product quality and reduce waste.
• Track quality KPIs, prepare reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic manufacturing.
• Experience with extrusion, injection molding, blow molding or related processes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, leadership and communication abilities.
