Mobile Machine Operator – Mining Equipment

About the role

The Mobile Machine Operator will safely operate a range of mobile equipment to support tasks in and around the processing plant. The role includes providing timely feedback to process supervisors on equipment performance and safety issues, as well as performing routine operational checks and housekeeping on the machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment such as skid steers, tele‑handlers, wheel loaders and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Report equipment performance, safety concerns and daily anomalies on operator log sheets.
• Carry out operational checks, routine maintenance and housekeeping of assigned machines.
• Follow all site‑specific SOPs, policies, operational manuals and safety procedures.
• Maintain attendance, shift KPIs and adhere to the company Code of Conduct.
• Perform Take 5 safety checks and understand SDS for reagents handled.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of mobile equipment operation experience, preferably in a mining environment.
• Form 4 (or higher) education level and a valid Tanzanian driving licence.
• Equipment operator’s certificate from a recognised training institute.
• Clean driving record.
