Lodge Operations Manager – Arusha, Tanzania

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Lodge Operations Manager to lead all aspects of our safari lodge in Arusha, Tanzania. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across rooms, housekeeping, food & beverage, engineering, and guest services.
• Maintain and raise service standards to ensure memorable guest satisfaction.
• Manage cost controls, budgeting and revenue optimisation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop multicultural teams, fostering an engaged and accountable culture.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, health & safety and hospitality standards.
• Plan workforce, talent development and succession strategies.
• Improve systems, processes and SOPs for operational efficiency.
• Strengthen brand reputation, guest loyalty and market competitiveness.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotels, resorts, city‑safari lodges or international hospitality brands.
• Proven financial acumen with experience in labour cost management and revenue performance.
• Demonstrated success leading multicultural teams.
• Experience with pre‑opening, turnaround or transformation projects is an advantage.
