About the role

Meliá Hotels International is seeking a proactive Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities across its operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement and purchasing operations.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms.
• Ensure timely purchasing of goods and services.
• Maintain optimal stock levels in coordination with the warehouse.
• Monitor market trends and pricing.
• Guarantee quality standards of purchased items.
• Control purchasing costs and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain supplier relationships and conduct performance evaluations.
• Approve purchase orders and requisitions.
• Coordinate with internal departments on procurement needs.
• Maintain proper documentation and record keeping.
• Support audits related to procurement activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in overseeing procurement and purchasing operations.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to evaluate and manage supplier performance.
• Knowledge of market trends, pricing analysis, and cost‑control strategies.
• Familiarity with compliance, documentation, and audit support.
