Lodge Reservations Consultant

About the role

&Beyond is seeking a dynamic, service‑driven professional to join its Lodge Reservations team. You will be responsible for creating bespoke travel itineraries and managing the end‑to‑end reservation process for guests exploring East Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain consistent, professional communication with colleagues, agents, operators, guests, and suppliers via phone and email.
• Design and plan tailor‑made FIT leisure itineraries that deliver unique guest experiences.
• Manage the full reservations cycle from quotation through confirmation, invoicing, and final travel documentation.
• Adhere to turnaround times and company SOPs, promoting and selling products and services.
• Assist clients in selecting travel options that match preferences, budgets, and requirements.
• Resolve booking issues, amendments, or challenges promptly and professionally.
• Participate in rotational Saturday and public‑holiday duty coverage.
• Provide operational support and backup coverage during colleagues’ leave.
• Continuously expand product and destination knowledge through training and self‑development.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of East Africa as a travel destination, including key tourism circuits and seasonal considerations.
• In‑depth geographical, logistical, and product knowledge of accommodation, transport networks, conservation areas, and safari operations.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional service standards to agents, guests, and industry partners.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to continuously learn and develop.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Tourplan or a similar reservations/booking system.
