IT Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee all information technology operations within its manufacturing plant in Dar‑es‑Salaam. The role ensures reliable network connectivity, system security, and smooth daily IT support for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain authorized access to company systems, data and applications.
• Implement and enforce the IT policy across the organization.
• Verify smooth communication between network hubs, including SAP and IQS networks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity of switches and ensure continuous operation of the IQS system.
• Conduct routine inspections of fiber optic networks, cabling, terminations and CCTV connectivity.
• Provide first‑line support to users and resolve IT issues promptly.
• Oversee maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.
• Remove obsolete communication cables and keep infrastructure tidy.
• Lead daily meetings to discuss IT challenges and requirements.
• Update network diagrams and review VLAN configurations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and security.
• Ability to manage multiple IT projects and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
