Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will drive finance performance and analytics for Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB – Global Markets) and Treasury. The role provides critical financial insight to senior leaders, ensuring accurate revenue assurance, product profitability analysis, and proper recognition of financial items.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate management accounts for all Corporate and Investment Banking products.
• Partner with business units to deliver timely performance, revenue, cost, and profitability data.
• Provide objective analytical insight, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Analyse financial risks and opportunities proactively.
• Collaborate with the strategy team to align financial impact with strategic agenda.
• Participate in new product and governance committees, offering financial perspectives and monitoring benefits realization.
• Prepare management packs, quantitative reports, and qualitative commentaries for various committees.
• Resolve data inconsistencies and ensure high‑quality financial information for decision‑making.
• Prepare non‑financial level‑2 information and conduct deep‑dive analyses of products, systems, and processes.
• Identify and escalate risk issues promptly.
• Perform ad‑hoc analysis as requested by senior management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of balance‑sheet and income‑statement drivers.
• Experience delivering financial insights to senior leadership in a banking environment.
• Ability to work with variable‑quality data and resolve inconsistencies.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on risk identification and mitigation.
• Collaborative approach to work with strategy, product, and treasury teams.
