About the role
The Finance and Procurement Assistant will provide administrative and transactional support to the Finance and Operations team at Americares Tanzania. The role ensures that financial and procurement activities are documented accurately, processed efficiently, and comply with donor regulations, Americares policies, and Tanzanian law.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare payment vouchers and supporting documentation for review and approval.
- Process procurement requests, maintain purchase records, and ensure proper routing of transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial and procurement files that are audit‑ready.
- Support compliance with internal controls and segregation of duties principles.
- Assist in record‑keeping, documentation preparation, and transaction processing.
Required profile
- Experience or academic background in finance, accounting, or procurement support.
- Familiarity with donor regulations and Tanzanian financial/legal requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with finance and procurement teams.
