Warehouse Checker

About the role

The Warehouse Checker is responsible for accurately counting, checking, and verifying stock movements in a fast‑paced logistics environment. You will ensure that loads are correctly dispatched and received, maintain inventory accuracy, and support safety and quality standards on the warehouse floor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily stock counts using handheld devices and generate variance reports.
• Verify and reconcile digital or manual invoices, POS payments, and internal stock movements (transfers, breakages, issues) in the ERP system.
• Maintain 5S, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment standards.
• Ensure proper stock rotation (FEFO) and quality control of packaging before loading.
• Coordinate load plans with commercial, credit, inventory, and logistics teams, and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
• Load and unload vehicles, confirm quantities on trucks, and record returns before unloading.
• Participate in investigations of stock deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Track beer age, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and update related reports daily.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Good communication skills to interact with inventory, warehouse, and logistics stakeholders.
• Ability to work on‑site in a warehouse environment and handle physical loading tasks.
• Basic numeracy and analytical skills for variance reporting and discrepancy resolution.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for stock movement processing.
• Experience using handheld inventory devices for counting and data capture.
• Familiarity with POS systems and invoice reconciliation.
