Trade Finance Manager – Commercial Banking

About the role

The Trade Finance Manager will lead the bank's trade finance portfolio, focusing on off‑balance‑sheet contingent liabilities and generating non‑funded income. The role supports sales strategies, ensures compliance, and drives growth within approved sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and structure the trade finance portfolio, specializing in off‑balance‑sheet contingent liabilities.
• Generate non‑funded income from off‑balance‑sheet items and support business teams in sales planning and execution.
• Review and process trade finance transactions such as Export and Import Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Bills Avalisation, Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit, and Trade Loans.
• Prepare credit applications for the credit department and develop Service Level Agreements to improve turnaround times.
• Manage regional trade finance activities, group syndication files, and cross‑border transactions while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory procedures.

Required profile

• A relevant degree or Advanced Diploma in Finance, Marketing, Commerce, or Banking; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Additional training in Trade Finance and solid understanding of general banking operations.
• Strong risk sense, profitability consciousness, high integrity, initiative, and negotiation abilities.
