Tax Analyst – Tanzania

About the role

Orica is seeking a Tax Analyst based in Tanzania, reporting to the Tax Lead. The role manages regional tax affairs, ensures compliance with local tax laws and Orica standards, and supports accurate tax reporting and accounting. It also contributes to tax strategy implementation, audit management and provides practical tax advice to minimise risk.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and Orica Tax Standards across the region.
• Prepare and lodge tax returns, statutory reports, and support tax effect accounting.
• Support implementation of regional tax strategy and identify tax planning opportunities.
• Assist in managing tax audits, disputes, and relationships with revenue authorities.
• Monitor legislative changes and proactively manage tax risks and compliance improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 + years experience in tax, accounting or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, reporting and regional tax regulations.
• Experience in multinational organisations or Big 4 environments (preferred).
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset.
