Sales Representative – Motorbike Pre‑Sales

About the role

The Sales Representative (Motorbike Pre‑Sales) will cover modern‑trade outlets across Dar es Salaam, promoting the company’s motorbike catalogue, taking orders and ensuring timely delivery. The role is field‑based, requiring strong customer relationships and a focus on achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Visit all assigned modern‑trade outlets according to the daily route plan.
• Present the product catalogue, new launches and promotions to outlet owners and managers.
• Generate sales by accurately entering customer orders using the Sales Force Automation (SFA) system.
• Submit orders on time and ensure proper delivery coordination.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with outlet personnel.
• Identify opportunities to increase product visibility and distribution.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing and promotions, providing feedback to management.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales and coverage targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer records in the SFA system.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Comply with company sales policies, procedures and ethical standards.
• Maintain the assigned motorbike in good condition and follow road safety regulations.
• Submit daily sales reports and required documentation on time.

Required profile

• Certificate of Secondary Education (Form Four/O‑Level) or higher; additional sales or marketing qualifications are a plus.
• Previous experience in FMCG sales, distribution or field sales is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Dar es Salaam roads, business districts and trading areas.
• Valid Tanzanian driver’s licence and motorcycle licence; willingness to travel within the territory.
• Age between 25 and 35 years.
• High level of integrity, honesty and accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sales Force Automation (SFA) applications on a smartphone.
