About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Head to lead the Metals Division and Institutional Business across Tanzania. The role involves shaping sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share for a wide range of metal products.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for all product lines.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans covering urban and rural markets.
- Lead, mentor and supervise the national sales team to ensure optimal performance and market coverage.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with dealers, contractors, NGOs, government bodies and other institutional customers.
- Manage public‑sector procurement processes, including tender identification, submission and compliance with PPRA/e‑procurement systems.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Coordinate with production, logistics and marketing to align supply, pricing and promotions.
- Train and support branch sales teams, ensuring strong brand positioning.
- Drive collections in coordination with accounts, maintaining credit discipline.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare sales reports and present performance updates to management.
- Represent the company at industry forums, exhibitions and stakeholder meetings.
Required profile
- 8‑10 years of progressive sales and marketing leadership experience in East African industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record of revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong strategic mindset with experience developing and executing sales strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing teams.
- Experience managing complex distribution networks and institutional business.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems.
- Familiarity with e‑procurement and public‑sector tender processes (PPRA).
