Regional Director, East and Southern Africa

About the role

The Regional Director, East and Southern Africa provides strategic, spiritual, and operational leadership for World Renew’s programmes across the region. Based in one of the country offices (Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda or Zambia), the role shapes and advances the regional vision in line with the global strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Country Directors and regional staff in implementing and refining the regional strategy.
• Guide organisational change processes and assess the optimal operational footprint.
• Collaborate with global functional teams on humanitarian response, community development, justice and peace, fundraising, communications and operations.
• Support communities, churches and partners to advance food security, sustainable livelihoods and maternal‑child health.
• Strengthen World Renew’s presence, partnerships and impact throughout East and Southern Africa.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in international development or humanitarian sectors.
• Deep understanding of Christian faith‑based development approaches.
• Ability to work across diverse cultural contexts and navigate geopolitical dynamics.
• Strong strategic thinking and change‑management capabilities.
