Real Estate Agent – Paje, Zanzibar

About the role

Mayer & Co Real Estate Zanzibar is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Real Estate Agent to join its Paje office. You will work directly with international buyers, investors and hospitality operators, helping them navigate Zanzibar’s fast‑growing property market.

Key responsibilities

• Source, list and market land, villas, hospitality assets and residential developments.
• Conduct property viewings and manage client inquiries from initial contact through closing.
• Advise clients on market conditions, pricing, ownership structures and investment opportunities.
• Prepare offers, contracts and related documentation in compliance with local regulations.
• Maintain strong relationships with property owners, developers, lawyers and local authorities.
• Support marketing activities, update listings and contribute to market research to identify new opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven sales abilities, including lead generation, negotiation and closing of property transactions.
• Professional fluency in English and Swahili; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience working with international buyers or investors, preferably in East Africa or emerging markets.
• Ability to work on‑site in Paje and travel across Zanzibar as needed.
• Excellent communication, organization and time‑management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with local property laws, ownership structures and hospitality‑related real estate is advantageous.
