Production Supervisor

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a Production Supervisor in Dar es Salaam. The supervisor coordinates internal activities so that production orders run smoothly and production targets are met, while managing manpower, enforcing GMP and safety standards and keeping accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate manpower to production lines and machines according to the daily plan.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are strictly followed at the workplace.
• Prepare and submit daily attendance reports for all workers.
• Follow and execute changeover plans, including mold loading plans, as instructed.
• Maintain discipline and order across all production areas.
• Assist the maintenance team during machine breakdowns and communicate them promptly.
• Update and maintain all required production documentation accurately.
• Report any non-compliance or deviations to the Assistant Production Manager or Senior Manager immediately.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including use of PPE and safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.

Required profile

• BSc with at least 2 years of experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering with 4 years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes and manpower coordination.
• Ability to enforce GMP and workplace discipline.
• Good communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle machine breakdown situations effectively.
