Processing Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Processing Operations Coordinator will lead the commissioning, ramp‑up and optimisation of Perseus Mining’s gold processing plant. The role ensures safe, stable and efficient plant performance while driving continuous improvement to meet name‑plate production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety, environment and community compliance in line with company policies.
• Provide visible leadership, coach and develop processing personnel, and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Oversee day‑to‑day plant operations, ensuring throughput, recovery and cost objectives are met.
• Monitor plant performance, analyse data and KPIs, and take corrective actions to address instability or losses.
• Coordinate with Metallurgy, Maintenance and HSE teams to optimise availability and reliability.
• Deliver accurate production reporting and ensure equipment operates within design limits.
• Support workforce planning, rostering, fatigue management and leave coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gold processing plant operations, including crushing, grinding, gravity recovery, leaching (CIL/CIP), elution, tailings and reagent management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead plant commissioning, ramp‑up, stabilisation and optimisation projects.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret plant data, trends and KPIs and identify constraints.
• Leadership capability to coach teams, enforce safety standards and drive continuous improvement.
