Performance Engineer – Network Performance (2-year Contract)

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Performance Engineer on a 2‑year contract to take overall accountability for network performance across all technologies on modernised sites. You will work closely with engineering, operations and project teams to ensure KPI targets are met and network quality is continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Own network performance for modernised/swapped sites and ensure KPI compliance.
• Review Single Site Verification (SSV) reports from vendors during site acceptance.
• Track and meet EPOCA KPI targets during cluster drive reporting.
• Prepare regulatory and group network performance reports.
• Develop and maintain KPI trackers for radio network elements.
• Implement best‑practice features in the network according to EWL guidelines.
• Manage end‑to‑end network incidents, including outages and KPI degradations, with proper root‑cause analysis.
• Identify gaps from project teams, ensure consistent reporting, and support engineering and operations in delivering expected network quality.
• Conduct RAN parameter audits and reconcile KPI performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in telecom network performance or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning and business acumen.
• Excellent programming abilities and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive fault detection and ability to handle customer complaints.
• Willingness to challenge the status‑quo and drive improvements.
• Knowledge of cloud and big‑data concepts is a plus.
• Project experience is advantageous.
