Partnership Analyst – UNV Field Units

About the role

The Partnership Analyst will support UNV Field Units in developing and sustaining country‑level partnerships that integrate volunteer solutions into development, humanitarian and peace programmes. Working closely with UN agencies, government bodies and civil society, the analyst will help translate partner demand into effective volunteer mobilization strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop partnerships with UN agencies, government institutions and civil society to advance UNV’s mandate.
• Analyse United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks, Country Programme Documents and sectoral strategies to pinpoint entry points for volunteer integration.
• Support the design and execution of country‑level volunteer mobilisation plans aligned with UNV’s Strategic Framework.
• Participate in collective planning processes (CCA, UNSDCF, humanitarian response plans) to embed volunteerism.
• Produce data‑driven briefing materials, presentations and analytical notes to communicate UNV’s value proposition.
• Assist national talent attraction and pipeline management in coordination with the Regional Talent Acquisition Analyst.
• Conduct business intelligence and demand analysis to inform volunteer deployment decisions.

Required profile

• Proactive experience in partnership development or programme coordination within international development or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret UN strategic documents and partner demand.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for multi‑stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with UN volunteer programmes and the UN development planning cycle.
