Night Auditor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Night Auditor to join a reputable hotel in Dar es Salaam. The role involves managing overnight front‑office operations, reconciling daily financial transactions, and ensuring a smooth and safe environment for guests throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations and guest services during the night shift.
• Conduct the nightly audit, recording and reconciling all hotel transactions.
• Verify guest accounts, room charges, payments and billing details.
• Reconcile revenue from rooms, Food & Beverage and other departments.
• Prepare daily audit and revenue reports and hand over accurate information to the morning shift.
• Handle guest requests, complaints and emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, F&B and other departments to resolve overnight issues.
• Monitor cash handling, detect discrepancies and ensure compliance with hotel policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Hotel Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar front‑office/finance role within a hotel.
• Experience working night shifts in a reputable hotel is highly preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage pressure and handle flexible weekend shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Experience using hotel accounting/revenue systems.
