Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Maintenance Planner ensures that effective maintenance plans are in place for plant equipment, that spares and resources are available, and that planned outages are executed safely and efficiently. You will work closely with maintenance controllers, engineers, and production teams to optimise maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve maintenance plans and schedules.
• Ensure spares, tools and personnel are ready for planned work.
• Monitor execution of planned outages and recommend actions for unforeseen work.
• Maintain safety, health and environmental standards throughout all activities.
• Implement and manage the maintenance planning system in SAP.
• Analyse maintenance data, generate reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coach, train and support maintenance team members and customers.
• Audit maintenance documentation and ensure compliance with VPO principles and GOP/Toolkits.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of production engineering experience in an FMCG environment.
• 5 years of technical mechanical/electrical and bottling experience in a leadership capacity.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and self‑discipline.
