Maintenance Manager – Hotel Engineering

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function of a hotel in Dar es Salaam. You will ensure that all building services operate reliably and efficiently, supporting a high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance operations.
• Oversee HVAC, chillers, boilers, generators, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Plan, schedule and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
• Lead, coach and supervise the maintenance/engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and engineering regulations.
• Support renovation, repair and improvement projects.
• Control maintenance budgets, CapEx and OpEx.
• Provide 24/7 engineering response and maintain operational readiness.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in hotel or hospitality engineering and maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage a multidisciplinary technical team.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Experience handling budgetary responsibilities and project coordination.
