Human Resources Specialist

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist will join the team at Kendwa Rocks Hotel, a beachfront resort in Kendwa, Tanzania. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the HR department, supporting a positive and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations, including employee benefits and personnel administration.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Support recruitment processes, employee relations, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with local labor regulations and promote a positive work environment.
• Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and fostering employee engagement.

Required profile

• Proficiency in HR and HR management principles and practices.
• Experience creating and implementing HR policies.
• Knowledge of employee benefits and personnel management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with Zanzibar/Tanzania labor laws is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., SHRM Certified Professional) are advantageous.
• Fluency in English; Swahili language skills are a plus.
