Human Resource & Administration Manager – Steel Plant

About the role

Novamerid Holdings Limited is looking for an experienced Human Resource and Administration Manager to lead HR and administrative functions at its steel manufacturing plant in Kwala, Kibaha. You will ensure smooth daily operations, compliance with Tanzanian labour laws, and strong relationships with government and community stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and personnel administration.
• Develop and enforce HR policies in line with Tanzanian labour regulations.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day factory operations and provide administrative support to senior management.
• Manage permits, inspections, statutory reporting, and liaison with ministries and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee plant security, accommodation, transportation, and general services.
• Foster good relationships with local communities and external partners.
• Support the achievement of operational and organisational objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR and administration management experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and government regulations.
• Proven ability to work with government officials and regulatory authorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in Chinese‑invested or multinational enterprises is an advantage.
