Hub Manager – Solar Energy Operations

About the role

Jaza is seeking a Hub Manager to lead a network of solar‑powered service hubs in Tanzania. The role combines entrepreneurial drive with disciplined execution to expand clean‑energy access while mentoring a team of local women leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer acquisition through door‑to‑door outreach and local sales tactics to reach 150 active customers per hub.
• Maximise Monthly Recurring Revenue and Average Revenue Per User by improving retention, reducing churn and converting pay‑per‑swap users to membership plans.
• Ensure operational excellence by enforcing inventory protocols, maintaining 100% compliance with “Brilliant Basics”, and monitoring lost or missing packs.
• Recruit, interview, coach and develop “Jaza Star” staff in sales, customer service and technical inventory management.
• Own hub profitability metrics, present findings in Hypercare meetings and flag operational issues to the Regional Coordinator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in sales‑driven roles, customer relations or entrepreneurship with proven team‑management success.
• Demonstrated ability to train diverse teams and foster high‑performance culture.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making, quick learning of new concepts and proficiency with digital communication and reporting tools.
• Passion for expanding energy access and creating economic opportunities for women in Tanzania.
• Willingness to relocate as required.
