Heavy Equipment Sales & Marketing Specialist

About the role

The Heavy Equipment Salesperson is responsible for selling construction, mining and industrial machinery to businesses and contractors. This role combines strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment with customer relationship management to achieve sales targets in a competitive market.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders and cranes.
• Identify potential customers, generate leads and build long‑term relationships.
• Conduct onsite product demonstrations and explain technical specifications.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and close deals.
• Coordinate with service teams to provide after‑sales support and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Proven experience in heavy equipment sales or related industrial sales.
• Strong technical understanding of machinery and equipment specifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and work in field environments.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of construction and mining machinery.
• Proficiency with CRM software for managing client relationships.
