Head of Country Operations

About the role

We are expanding a consumer‑device brand across high‑growth African and Asian markets. The Head of Country Operations will launch, run and scale the full operating model in a single country, turning an initial shipment into a repeatable, country‑wide business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead country launch readiness, coordinate distributors, retail points and service partners, and manage pilot execution.
• Build and supervise the distribution and channel network, selecting partners and maintaining stock visibility.
• Open and operate brand support points inside high‑traffic retail locations, negotiate premises and uphold customer‑experience standards.
• Oversee after‑sales service and warranty partners to ensure fast, warm customer interactions.
• Implement operational integrity and fraud‑control measures across the channel.
• Support joint operator‑financial‑partner programmes and provide HQ with market insights.
• Recruit and lead a local team, including a Marketing Manager and a Distribution & Channel Manager, assigning clear responsibilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or scaling local operations from scratch in consumer electronics or telecom.
• Strong network with distributors, retailers and mobile operators in the target market.
• Hands‑on leadership style with ability to troubleshoot, iterate quickly and institutionalise best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate market learnings into repeatable standards.
