Graduate Cover Supervisor

About the role

The school is seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor to join its teaching team from September 2026. This full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term position offers recent graduates the chance to lead classes during teacher absences and gain hands‑on classroom experience in a secondary school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and deliver lessons across a range of subjects when teachers are absent.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning atmosphere.
• Keep students engaged and on task, supporting their academic progress.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to reinforce curriculum objectives.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2:1 degree.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Confident, resilient and enthusiastic about education.
• Willingness to commit to a full academic year.
