Gold Room Supervisor

About the role

The Gold Room Supervisor will oversee the safe and efficient handling of precious metals within Perseus Mining's processing operations. Reporting to the Gold Room Coordinator, the role ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental and community standards while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and champion a zero‑harm safety culture across all processing activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, safety regulations and company policies.
• Lead, coach and develop the gold room team through structured training, performance management and succession planning.
• Monitor metallurgical KPIs, interpret data and initiate corrective actions to meet production targets.
• Coordinate smelting and bullion pick‑up schedules, maintain accurate gold and silver bullion inventory records.
• Oversee stock levels of reagents and consumables, and ensure timely equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Support commissioning, ramp‑up and optimisation projects, and contribute to security procedure development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gold‑room or metallurgical operations within a mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment and community relations regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workforce planning and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Capability to translate operational data into actionable improvements.
