Gold Room Coordinator – Mining Operations

About the role

The Gold Room Coordinator will oversee the safe and efficient handling of precious metals within Perseus Mining's processing operations. Reporting to the Metallurgical Superintendent, the role ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental and community standards while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage health, safety, environment and community relations, championing a zero‑harm culture.
• Lead the gold room team, providing coaching, training and performance management.
• Ensure all gold room activities meet safety and environmental regulations and permit conditions.
• Monitor metallurgical KPIs, interpret data and implement corrective actions.
• Support commissioning, ramp‑up and optimisation of processing facilities.
• Organise smelting and bullion pick‑up schedules and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Drive processing strategy alignment with business objectives and production targets.
• Collaborate with the Metallurgical Superintendent on technical recommendations and capital projects.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Proven experience in metallurgical or processing environments.
• Ability to analyse data and translate findings into operational improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety culture.
• Capacity to develop and mentor team members.
