Fleet Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a Fleet Mechanic to ensure the inspection, maintenance, repair and overall technical reliability of our fleet vehicles. The role supports daily operations by minimising downtime, diagnosing faults accurately and delivering high‑quality workmanship across all maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on fleet vehicles, covering engines, transmissions, braking, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools, telematics data and technical manuals to identify mechanical and electrical faults and determine repair solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, manufacturer standards and legal requirements such as MOT inspections and roadworthiness.
• Provide breakdown response support, including roadside repairs and vehicle recovery.
• Manage parts identification, support stock control and maintain proper use of workshop tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, job cards, inspection reports and defect logs.
• Conduct post‑repair checks, road tests and quality inspections before vehicle release.
• Collaborate with Fleet Technical Agents, workshop supervisors and drivers to prioritise repairs and communicate findings.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance processes, workshop efficiency and vehicle reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably within a fleet environment.
