Finance Officer – Mobile Money Disbursements

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Finance Officer to manage mobile money disbursements and cash management for its programmes in Tanzania. The role ensures timely, accurate payments to beneficiaries while maintaining strong controls and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily mobile money transactions, verify documentation, and upload payments to the platform without delay.
• Conduct weekly reconciliations of mobile money activity, resolve failed or rolled‑back payments, and maintain adequate float.
• Generate trend analysis and ensure mobile money balance‑sheet accounts reflect current balances.
• Support mobile money audits, monitor unusual transaction patterns, and assist investigations with reconciled data.
• Provide training and SOPs for field staff, collaborate with service providers to troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in mobile money payments, cash management, or related finance functions.
• Ability to produce accurate documentation and meet strict timelines.
• Strong analytical skills for reporting and risk assessment.
