Finance Manager – Strategic Planning & Budgeting

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for CVPeople Tanzania, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic support for senior management. Based in Dar es Salaam, the role combines oversight of day‑to‑day financial operations with long‑term planning and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, annual budgets, forecasts and financial models to guide business decisions.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements, performance variances and trend reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards and coordinate external audit activities.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital, optimizing cash management processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and communication abilities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks and Tally accounting software.
