Finance Accountant – SAP & Excel Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Finance Accountant to manage financial transactions, reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will work with SAP and advanced Excel to ensure accurate accounting, perform variance analysis and support tax filing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements.
• Execute daily accounting transactions in SAP (GL, AP, AR) and support system improvements.
• Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgets, providing insights for cost control.
• Prepare bank, balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations and ensure audit readiness.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (VAT, withholding, corporate tax) in line with local regulations.
• Utilise advanced Excel functions to develop models, reports and dashboards, automating reporting where possible.
• Provide financial insights, maintain strong internal controls and support audit processes.
• Communicate financial information clearly in English and Swahili.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Swahili.
