Enumerator (Casual Labour) – Multiple Locations in Tanzania

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking casual‑labour enumerators to support its Research, Assessment & Monitoring (RAM) activities in Tanzania. The assignment lasts between 15 and 30 days and will be carried out in one or more of the following duty stations: Arusha, Dodoma, Kasulu, Mtwara and Zanzibar. Enumerators will collect primary data for surveys that inform WFP’s country strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct household and community surveys according to WFP’s methodology.
• Follow standard operating procedures for data collection and entry.
• Travel to assigned locations and liaise with local authorities.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of collected data.
• Submit daily reports and flag any issues encountered.
• Maintain confidentiality of respondents.

Required profile

• Casual‑labour contract for a short‑term assignment (15‑30 days).
• Willingness to travel to the listed locations.
• Good communication skills in English (and local languages where applicable).
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
