Demand Planner – Central Africa Region

About the role

The Demand Planner will coordinate delivery orders, control inventory, and support stock processes for Sandvik in the Central Africa Region. Based in Mwanza, Tanzania, the role ensures smooth movement of products across factories, warehouses, and mines.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with Sandvik’s Environment, Health and Safety policy.
• Work with suppliers and logistics providers to schedule shipping, transportation, and distribution.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Analyse and drive stock optimisation initiatives and maintain inventory parameters.
• Align schedules with stakeholders and manage goods in transit, including import and export activities.
• Collaborate with sales and back‑line teams in a matrix organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Economics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of active involvement in supply chain operations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerBI, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated team player with understanding of import & export processes.
