Construction Works Engineer – Telecom Site Projects

About the role

The Construction Works Engineer (CW Engineer) is responsible for planning, managing and coordinating telecom site construction activities. The role ensures that all works are carried out in line with project plans, approved designs, contractual obligations, customer requirements, local regulations and Nokia standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain realistic construction rollout schedules.
• Develop and contribute to the overall construction project plan.
• Manage day‑to‑day construction activities, monitoring quality, cost and timeline.
• Ensure site designs comply with local standards, regulations and Nokia guidelines.
• Conduct site visits, oversee construction acceptance and resolve any defects with suppliers.
• Validate as‑built documentation and guarantee its availability.
• Collect performance data, analyse deviations and provide updated completion estimates.
• Provide training and support to local construction suppliers.
• Monitor service delivery against quality processes and operational KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in telecom construction works or site build projects.
• Proven ability to manage telecom site construction, ensuring compliance with scope, contracts, timelines and quality standards.
• Experience coordinating activities across design, rollout and subcontractor teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of telecom site construction standards and local regulations.
• Experience with construction rollout scheduling and project planning.
• Familiarity with Nokia construction guidelines and customer specifications.
