Client Relation Manager - Logistics

About the role

A logistics company, represented by Shugulika Africa Limited, is looking for a Client Relation Manager in Dar es Salaam. The role manages customer relationships, ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and supports efficient logistics operations, from order placement to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with KAGO clients by understanding their logistics requirements
• Act as the main point of contact, giving timely shipment updates and handling concerns
• Receive and process client orders accurately and coordinate with internal departments and external partners for timely fulfillment
• Work with transporters, freight forwarders and other logistics partners to arrange shipments and document delivery
• Push cargo acquisition daily, proactively solve logistics challenges and resolve delivery or cargo quality issues with the operations team
• Provide daily status and performance reports, keep client records up to date and file client documents properly
• Prepare shipping invoices and customs declarations, collect client feedback and stay informed on industry trends
• Recruit new client leads, update the client database and follow company policies; perform other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Clearing & Forwarding, Logistics & Transport Management or Procurement Management
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the logistics industry
• Strong communication, coordination and organizational skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Office 365)
• Knowledge of TRA and Port systems is an added advantage
• Experience with ERP systems or web-based applications is an added advantage
