Business Development Manager

About the role

Equiti, a fintech provider of multi-asset brokerage services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is looking for a detail-oriented Business Development Manager for its Retail Sales department in Tanzania. The role helps grow the business by building strong partnerships, identifying new opportunities and bringing in new clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, confident and comfortable working towards sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and connect with potential business partners, including introducing brokers (IBs).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.
• Identify new opportunities to grow the client base, deposits and trading volume.
• Support partners in growing their business and bringing in new clients.
• Follow up on leads and convert potential clients into active clients.
• Keep the CRM updated with client details, partner activities, follow-ups and business opportunities.
• Track and report on key performance metrics such as new clients, deposits and trading volume.
• Work closely with the sales and marketing teams and monitor competitor activity.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, business development or relationship management.
• Good communication, negotiation and networking skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.
• Experience in forex, financial services or a related industry is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong product knowledge, e.g. FX, equities, CFDs.
• Knowledge of sales planning and direct, indirect and alternative sales channels.
• Analytical and numerical acumen.
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
